Issue description
This code indicates that the Engine Control Unit (ECU) is detecting a mismatch, loss of synchronization, or an implausible reading between the signals generated by the camshaft position sensor and the crankshaft position/engine speed sensor.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness (specifically yellow wiring circuits) connecting the camshaft and crankshaft sensors to the Engine ECU for open circuits, shorts to ground, or damaged pins.
Verify that both the camshaft and crankshaft sensors are installed correctly, checking for loose sensors, debris on the sensor tip, or an incorrect air gap.
Use the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) to monitor and evaluate the raw signals from both sensors while cranking or running the engine.
Rule out mechanical misalignment between the camshaft and crankshaft (e.g., slipped timing gear) if sensors and wiring test perfectly.
Repair steps
Confirm fault code
Connect the diagnostic tool to the machine and confirm NH 3092 is active.
Disconnect battery
Disconnect the battery to ensure safety before inspecting the engine wiring harness.
Locate sensors
Locate the crankshaft position sensor (usually near the flywheel/crank pulley) and the camshaft position sensor (on the cylinder head/timing cover).
Test wiring continuity
Disconnect the sensor pigtails and use a multimeter to test for continuity between the sensor connectors and the ECU pins. Repair any broken wires or clean corroded connectors.
Inspect and clean sensors
Remove the sensors and inspect them for physical damage or metal shavings on the magnetic tips. Clean the mounting surfaces.
Replace faulty sensor
If the wiring is intact and the sensors were seated properly but the raw signal is still failing, replace the faulty sensor (crankshaft or camshaft sensor, depending on which signal is dropping).
Install new sensor
Install the new sensor, ensuring it is seated flush and torqued to OEM specifications.
Verify repair
Reconnect the battery, clear the fault codes using the diagnostic tool, and run the engine to verify the repair.
