Communication failure on the machine's Controller Area Network (CAN) bus. Specifically, the #1 remote valve module is not receiving command messages from the main armrest controller.

   Check Controller Status Lights: Inspect the armrest controller to see if it has a blinking status light. No light indicates the controller is not functioning or receiving power.

   Inspect CAN Bus Wiring: Check the wiring harness between the armrest controller and the #1 remote valve module for open circuits, short circuits, blown fuses, or damaged connectors.

   Check CAN Bus Terminators: On older models (like the TG series), check the active terminators for the CAN bus (located behind the back cover and in the engine bay). These are known to suffer from broken solder joints where the pins from the plug solder to the board.

   Wiring & Terminator Repair

   If the diagnostic checks reveal damaged wiring, repair or replace the affected harness sections. If the machine uses older active CAN terminators with broken solder joints, replace them with the updated, superseded small plug that utilizes two standard resistors to terminate the CAN bus.

   Component Replacement

   If the wiring and terminators are intact but communication is still lost, the fault likely lies within the Armrest Controller or the #1 Remote Valve Module itself. Replace the faulty module.

   Software Calibration/Flashing

   If replacing the Armrest Controller, be aware that even if the replacement part box states the controller comes "preloaded with software," it may still fail to communicate out of the box. You must hook up the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST), capture the controller on the network, and manually download/re-download the machine-specific software into the controller to establish communication.
