   Verify if the tractor is physically equipped with a 5th rear remote valve (the controller may have lost its configuration or was incorrectly calibrated to expect one)

   Inspect the CAN bus communication lines between the armrest controls (EHR switches/joystick), the EHR controller, and the rear remote valve block for chafed wires, loose connector pins, or corrosion

   Test the 5th remote valve switch/potentiometer on the armrest to ensure it is outputting the correct signal and isn't suffering from an open or short circuit

   Check for accompanying voltage codes (e.g., 4160 Under Voltage, 4161 Over Voltage) which would point to a power supply issue rather than a pure communication failure

   If the tractor does not have a 5th remote valve, connect the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) and reconfigure the EHR controller to disable the 5th remote option. Clear the inactive code.
