The internal spool of the 5th rear remote hydraulic valve has traveled further than the commanded limit, or the position sensor (potentiometer) is reporting an out-of-bounds high voltage signal indicating excessive physical movement.

   Check the Potentiometer/Transducer: Verify if related code NH 4167 is also active, as a failing sensor can falsely report excessive deflection.

   Inspect the Driver/Coil: Check the electrical harness and driver coil for Remote No. 5 for shorts or open circuits (related to code NH 4166).

   Check for Mechanical Binding: Check if the spool is physically sticking or unable to return to neutral due to hydraulic fluid contamination (related to code NH 4168).

   Relieve Pressure

   Completely relieve all hydraulic system pressure before starting work to ensure safety.

   Thoroughly clean the hydraulic block and manifold area around Remote No. 5 to prevent dirt contamination from entering the hydraulic system during disassembly.
