Check the cause

  1. Access the armrest control panel and visually inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the EHR timer switch No.1 / No.2 and the Armrest Controller for unplugged connectors, damaged pins, or chafed wires.

  2. Test the timer switch for continuity using a multimeter to ensure the switch contacts are closing properly when depressed.

  3. Verify that the EHR module is receiving the correct reference voltage and that the CAN-BUS communication is intact to rule out broader communication failures.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent short circuits.

  2. Access the Switch

Remove the necessary trim panels on the armrest console to access the underside of the EHR control levers and timer switches.

  3. Repair/Replace

Reconnect the switch if it has simply vibrated loose. If the switch failed the continuity test, remove the retaining clips/screws, unplug the pigtail, and install a new timer switch.

  4. Reassemble

Reinstall the armrest trim and reconnect the battery.

  5. Recalibration

Turn the key to the ON position (do not start the engine). Depress the timer switch for remote valve No.1, then within 5 seconds, depress the timer switch for valve No.2. The display will show 'FEhr' and then default to a valve (e.g., 'Ehr4'). When the last valve has been recognized by the system, pulse the No.1 EHR Valve timer switch 3 times in quick succession. The display will show 3, 2, 1, and then END. Turn the key start switch OFF to store the programming.
