New Holland NH 5024 – CCU (Chassis Control Unit) / EHR (Electronic Hitch/PTO controller) / TMF (Transmission Management Function): Rear PTO not calibrated.
Issue description
This code is triggered when the electronic control system detects that the calibration values for the Rear Power Take-Off (PTO) clutch engagement (such as the clutch quick-fill value and solenoid calibration values) are missing, corrupted, or have been wiped from the module's memory.

Check the cause
Check for related PTO switch faults (cab and fender switches) and ensure no active codes like 5033, 5034, or 5035 are present.
Check the PTO Speed Sensor to ensure it is reading correctly and not throwing code 5027.
Check the PTO Solenoid to verify it is not stuck or shorting out (look for codes 5007 or 5008).
Ensure the tractor's transmission/hydraulic oil is up to normal operating temperature, as cold oil will cause calibration to fail.
Repair steps
Warm Up the Tractor
Start the tractor and run it until the transmission/hydraulic fluid reaches the specified operating temperature (usually indicated on the dash during calibration mode).
Attach an Implement (Optional but Recommended)
Attach an implement that has some rotational inertia (like a mower or rake) to help the controller learn the clutch engagement curve more smoothly.
Enter Diagnostic Mode
Enter the diagnostic "H" menu mode. (On many TM/T-series models, this is done by installing a diagnostic jumper/tool or holding a specific combination of transmission buttons while turning the key switch to the ON position).
Navigate to the PTO Routine
Scroll through the "H" routines until you reach the Power Take-Off (PTO) (P -- --) 'H' Routine.
Run the Calibration
Follow the on-screen prompts to initiate the calibration. The controller will automatically pulse the PTO solenoid to determine the "clutch quick fill value" and the "solenoid calibration value."
Save and Exit
Once the display indicates the calibration is successful, turn the key switch OFF to store the new calibration figures in the CCU memory.
Test Operation
Restart the tractor and engage the PTO via the cab switch to verify smooth engagement and ensure the 5024 code has cleared.
