New Holland R-PTO 5003 – CCH (Cab Controller Hub / Chassis Control Hub) or Armrest Controller: Auto PTO switch data is set to the error state (CCH Only) or Auto PTO switch data failed in the Armrest controller

The control module is receiving an invalid or error-state signal from the Auto PTO switch. This is typically caused by a faulty switch, a wiring/connection issue, or outdated tractor software.

   Turn off the tractor engine.

   Locate the Auto PTO switch on the tractor console/armrest.

   Check if the switch is physically stuck or in an incorrect position. If it is, gently move it to the correct position.

   Turn on the tractor engine and test the Auto PTO switch to see if the code clears.

   Inspect the switch and its wiring harness connections for any shorts, open circuits, or loose pins.

   Check if the tractor's software/firmware is up to date, as software glitches can sometimes trigger this error state.

   Reset/Reposition

   If the switch was simply stuck between states, repositioning it and restarting the tractor may resolve the issue.

   Wiring Repair

   If the diagnostic checks reveal damaged wiring or a loose connector at the Auto PTO switch or the CCH/Armrest controller harness, repair the wiring or secure the connection.

   Software Update

   If the switch and wiring are intact, update the tractor's software or firmware using the manufacturer's latest updates.

   Switch Replacement

   If the switch itself has failed internally and cannot send the correct data state, remove the faulty Auto PTO switch from the dashboard/armrest panel and install a new OEM replacement switch.
