New Holland SFA 10010 – SFA (Suspended Front Axle) / Front Suspension Controller: Front Suspension Rod Pressure transducer range high error

This indicates that the voltage signal from the pressure transducer located on the rod side of the front suspension cylinder is out of range high. Technically, this usually means the sensor's signal wire is shorted to a power source (like the 5V reference), the sensor has lost its ground connection (open circuit), or the sensor itself has failed internally.

   Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector at the front suspension rod pressure transducer for physical damage, corrosion, or pushed-out pins.

   Disconnect the sensor and turn the key ON to verify that the sensor is receiving the correct 5V reference voltage and has a solid ground connection.

   Check the signal wire between the sensor connector and the SFA controller for a short to power or an open circuit.

   If the wiring harness, reference voltage, and ground are all intact and operating correctly, verify if the pressure transducer itself has failed internally.

   Depressurize the System

   Safely support the front of the tractor and relieve all hydraulic pressure in the front suspension system to prevent fluid injection injuries.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty rod pressure transducer.

   Remove

   Carefully unscrew the faulty pressure transducer from the suspension cylinder or SFA valve block. Have a rag ready to catch any residual hydraulic fluid.

   Install

   Thread the new pressure transducer into the port and tighten it to the OEM specified torque.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical connector back into the new sensor.

   Clear & Calibrate

   Connect a diagnostic tool (such as Jaltest or CNH Electronic Service Tool) to clear the SFA 10010 fault code. You may need to perform a front suspension calibration routine after replacing the sensor.
