New Holland SFA 10022 – Front Suspension: 12VM voltage supply is low

The system has detected that the voltage on the 12VM power circuit has dropped below the acceptable operating threshold, likely due to a possible blown fuse.

   Locate the tractor's fuse panel and identify the specific fuse responsible for the 12VM Front Suspension circuit to check if it is blown.

   Use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the 12VM supply pin on the Front Suspension controller harness to verify if the voltage is actually low.

   If the fuse is blown, inspect the wiring harness running to the front suspension solenoids (lock valve, rod side, piston side) for chafing, pinched wires, or bare spots shorting to ground.

   If a short is suspected, disconnect the front suspension solenoids one by one to see if the short to ground disappears, indicating an internally shorted solenoid coil.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and remove the key to ensure the electrical system is de-energized.

   Locate and Replace Fuse

   Access the fuse box (refer to the operator's manual for the exact location of the 12VM front suspension fuse). Remove the fuse and inspect it. If blown, replace it with a new fuse of the exact same OEM amperage rating.

   Test the Circuit

   Turn the key to the ON position. If the fuse blows immediately, there is a hard short to ground in the wiring or a component.

   Trace and Repair Wiring

   If a short is present, trace the wiring harness from the fuse panel to the front suspension module, and from the module to the suspension valve block. Repair any damaged wires using proper weather-sealed splice connectors.

   Replace Shorted Components

   If the wiring is intact but a specific suspension solenoid (e.g., lock valve solenoid) is internally shorted and causing the fuse to blow, replace the faulty solenoid.

   Clear Codes and Calibrate

   Once the electrical fault is repaired and the fuse holds, use a diagnostic tool to clear the 10022 fault code. Test the front suspension through its full range of motion to ensure it raises and lowers correctly.
