TMF 107

New Holland TMF 107 – Armrest Controller: Aux 5 Remote Valve Switch Retract Failed

Issue description

Fault code TMF 107 indicates that the Aux 5th remote valve control switch (Retract) has failed in the Armrest Controller. The TMF controller has received data from the electro-hydraulic #5 control retract switch that is in an error state, such as an invalid signal, out of range reading, open circuit, or short circuit.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the Aux 5 remote valve control lever/switch on the armrest for physical damage, sticking, or debris preventing it from returning to the neutral position.

  2. Check the wiring harness and connectors between the Aux 5 switch and the Armrest Controller for corrosion, loose pins, open circuits, or shorts to ground/power.

  3. Verify that the sensor supply voltage (typically a 5V reference) and ground are present at the switch connector.

  4. Use a CNH diagnostic scan tool to monitor the live data of the Aux 5 switch. Check if the 'Retract' signal is stuck on or missing entirely when the lever is actuated.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect power

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during the repair.

  2. Access the armrest console

Remove the necessary trim panels and retaining screws on the armrest console to expose the internal electronic control units and switch assemblies.

  3. Locate the switch

Identify the Aux 5 electro-hydraulic remote valve control switch/lever assembly.

  4. Disconnect the harness

Carefully unplug the 3-wire electrical connector from the faulty sensor/switch.

  5. Remove the switch

Remove the mounting screws (usually two) securing the switch or lever assembly to the armrest panel.

  6. Install the new part

Mount the replacement OEM sensor or complete lever assembly and secure it with the hardware.

  7. Reassemble

Reconnect the electrical harness and reassemble the armrest console trim.

  8. Clear codes and test

Reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, clear the TMF 107 fault code using a diagnostic tool, and test the Aux 5 remote valve for proper extend/retract operation.
