New Holland TMF 115 – Armrest Controller: Aux 4th remote valve FLOW potentiometer is failed in the Armrest Controller
Issue description
The Armrest Controller has detected that the data signal from the electro-hydraulic remote #4 lever flow control potentiometer is in an error state. This typically points to an open circuit, a short circuit, or an out-of-range signal coming from the sensor.

Check the cause
Inspect the 4th auxiliary remote flow control knob on the armrest for physical damage, sticking, or binding.
Access the underside of the armrest control panel and inspect the wiring harness connecting to the 4th remote flow potentiometer. Look for loose pins, corrosion, or chafed wires that could cause an open or short circuit.
Use a multimeter to test the potentiometer. Check for a proper 5V reference signal and ground. Sweep the dial to ensure the signal voltage changes smoothly without dropping out or spiking, which would confirm an internal failure of the potentiometer.
Repair steps
Preparation
Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
Access the Armrest Internals
Carefully remove the retaining screws and covers on the armrest console to access the electronic draft control and remote valve section.
Locate the Component
Identify the specific potentiometer linked to the 4th auxiliary remote valve flow control knob.
Removal
Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector from the faulty potentiometer. Remove the retaining nut or mounting hardware holding the potentiometer to the armrest housing, and pull the switch out.
Installation
Insert the new OEM potentiometer into the housing and secure it with the mounting hardware.
Reconnection
Plug the electrical connector back into the new potentiometer.
Reassembly
Reinstall the armrest covers and secure all screws.
Calibration and Testing
Reconnect the battery and turn the tractor on. Clear the TMF 115 fault code using the tractor's onboard display (e.g., IntelliView) or a diagnostic scan tool. Test the 4th remote valve flow control to ensure proper operation. Note that some tractors may require a forced calibration of the new potentiometer via the diagnostic software.
