   Verify the condition by checking if current is still being sensed by the controller when the Aux #2 driver is turned off.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the Aux 2 lower/retract solenoid for any chafing, melted insulation, or exposed wires that could be causing a short to a 12-volt source.

   Test the solenoid coil itself with a multimeter to determine if the internal coil has shorted out.

   Locate valve

   Locate the Auxiliary Valve #2 on the tractor's rear hydraulic remote stack.

   Disconnect connector

   Disconnect the electrical connector from the Aux 2 lower/retract coil solenoid.

   Test voltage

   With the tractor powered on but the Aux 2 driver commanded off, use a multimeter to test the wiring harness for voltage.

   Repair wiring

   If 12 volts are present on the harness side when it should be off, trace the wiring harness back to the TMF controller and repair the short to 12 volts in the wiring.

   Replace solenoid

   If the wiring harness tests fine (no voltage present when commanded off), the fault is an internal short within the solenoid itself. Remove and replace the Aux 2 lower coil solenoid.

   Test operation

   Reconnect the harness, clear the fault codes, and test the auxiliary valve operation to ensure the code does not return.
