New Holland TMF 134 – TMF: Aux 3rd Raise solenoid failed open or short circuit.
Issue description
This code triggers when the Aux #3 driver is commanded ON by the controller, but no current is sensed. This indicates that the extend/raise coil for the 3rd auxiliary remote valve is either experiencing an open circuit (broken wire/failed coil) or is shorted to ground.

Check the cause
Visually inspect the wiring harness running from the TMF controller to the 3rd auxiliary remote valve block for chafed wires, pinched harnesses, or corroded connector pins.
Perform a coil resistance test by disconnecting the electrical connector at the Aux 3rd Raise solenoid and measuring resistance across the pins (infinite indicates an open/burnt coil, zero indicates a short to ground).
Perform a voltage/driver test by activating the Aux 3 raise command from the cab and checking for voltage at the harness connector to isolate if the fault is in the solenoid, wiring, or TMF controller.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes during repair.
Access the Valve Block
Locate the rear auxiliary remote valve stack. Identify the 3rd remote valve section and specifically the 'Raise/Extend' solenoid coil.
Replace the Solenoid
If the coil failed the resistance test, remove the retaining nut holding the solenoid coil to the valve cartridge. Slide the old coil off and install the new replacement coil. (Note: On some valve blocks, the proportional valve and solenoid are replaced as a single cartridge unit).
Repair Wiring (If Applicable)
If the coil tested fine but the harness was damaged, repair the broken/shorted wire using weather-sealed heat shrink connectors, or replace the affected harness section.
Reassemble and Calibrate
Reconnect the battery. Clear the TMF 134 fault code using the tractor's display monitor or a diagnostic tool. You may need to perform a remote valve calibration procedure to ensure the TMF controller learns the new solenoid's electrical signature.
