New Holland TMF 22 – TMF: Single draft pin sensor failed when configured for one draft pin sensor.

The tractor's software is configured to monitor a single draft pin sensor for the Electronic Draft Control (EDC) system on the 3-point hitch. The control module has detected a failure in this sensor's circuit, which could be caused by a disconnected sensor, a severed wire, a short circuit, or an internal failure of the sensor itself.

   Locate the draft pin sensor on the lower link arms of the 3-point hitch.

   Inspect the wiring harness and the 3-pin connector for physical damage, corrosion, or pushed-out pins.

   Perform a multimeter pinout test at the connector (Pin A: Ground, Pin B: Signal input, Pin C: Power supply).

   Verify continuity to ensure there is no open or short circuit between Pin B on the sensor harness and the TMF controller. If power and ground are present and the signal wire is intact, the sensor itself has failed.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery ground cable.

   Remove the Sensor

   Disconnect the 3-pin electrical connector from the faulty draft pin sensor. Remove the retaining hardware holding the draft pin in the lower hitch linkage.

   Install the New Sensor

   Slide the new OEM draft pin sensor into the linkage and secure it with the retaining hardware.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical connector back in, ensuring the weather seal is intact and the lock clicks into place.

   Recalibrate the Hitch

   Reconnect the battery and start the tractor. Clear the fault codes and cycle the hitch to its maximum upper limit (e.g., position 99 on the depth control) to initialize the new sensor and restore hitch response.
