During the tractor's hitch calibration process, the PWM threshold required to initiate hitch raising exceeds the programmed upper limit (typically 55%). The controller commands the valve to open but does not detect any physical hitch movement (verified via the hitch position potentiometer) by the time it hits this limit.

   Inspect the 3-point hitch linkage for any mechanical restrictions, binding, or heavy obstructions preventing the hitch from physically raising.

   Use a multimeter to test the raise solenoid coil resistance. A resistance value that is too high indicates a failing coil.

   Check the wiring between the hitch raise solenoid and the hitch controller for open circuits, shorts, high resistance, or corroded connectors.

   Verify that the tractor's battery voltage is sufficient, as very low system voltage can prevent the solenoid from actuating properly.

   If all mechanical and electrical checks pass, the hitch controller itself may be faulty.

   Clear Mechanical Binding

   Lubricate and free up the hitch linkage if any mechanical restriction is found.

   Ensure Proper Voltage

   Charge or replace the battery if system voltage is dropping too low during calibration.

   Repair Wiring

   Splice, repair, or replace any damaged sections of the wiring harness or connectors between the hitch controller and the raise valve solenoid.

   Replace the Solenoid

   If the raise solenoid coil fails the resistance test (resistance is too high or open), remove the faulty hitch raise solenoid valve from the hydraulic valve block and install a new OEM replacement.

   Replace/Reflash Controller

   If the solenoid, wiring, and linkage are all in perfect working order, replace or re-program the hitch controller.

   Recalibrate

   After repairs are made, you must re-run the automated hitch calibration procedure. The fault is resolved when the hitch moves and the controller registers the movement within the acceptable PWM threshold.
