   Check battery voltage to ensure the system is receiving a steady 12V, as low voltage can cause TMF software glitches.

   Inspect the cab differential lock switch for erratic behavior, sticking, or internal shorts sending conflicting signals.

   Check the steering angle sensor, as a failing sensor can trigger a differential lockout software fault.

   Inspect CAN bus connections, specifically the wiring harness and 5-pin or 6-pin connectors at the TMF module, for corrosion or loose pins.

   Clear the Code

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST). Clear the inactive/active fault codes to see if the software condition was a momentary glitch.

   Recalibrate the System

   Use the EST or the tractor's onboard calibration mode to recalibrate the transmission and steering angle sensors, ensuring the software has the correct parameters for the differential lock logic.

   Update the Software

   If the code returns immediately, flash/update the TMF controller to the latest software version provided by New Holland.

   Replace the Switch

   If the differential lock switch is sending bouncing or conflicting signals to the controller, replace the switch.

   Replace the TMF Controller

   If the module refuses to take a software update, fails to calibrate, or has an internal EEPROM failure, the TMF controller must be replaced and programmed to the tractor.
