New Holland TRANS 134 – Transmission Controller (TRANS): Master clutch is not calibrated

Issue description

The transmission controller has lost or lacks the stored calibration values that dictate the exact engagement point of the master clutch. Without these values, the controller cannot smoothly modulate the clutch, which can result in harsh shifting, failure to move, or the system locking out normal operation.

Check the cause

  1. Check for Active Faults: Retrieve and record any other active fault codes. The system will not allow calibration if there are active faults related to the clutch potentiometer, solenoids, or the inching pedal.

  2. Inching Pedal Range: Verify that the inching pedal (clutch pedal) is reading within a valid range on the display.

  3. Fluid Level and Condition: Ensure the transmission hydraulic fluid is at the correct level and is not contaminated, as low pressure or poor fluid quality will cause the calibration to fail.
