New Holland TRANS 142 – TRANS: Front suspension travel range has not been calibrated.

The controller has lost or has not yet learned the upper and lower physical limits of the front axle suspension's travel. Without these learned parameters, the active front suspension system cannot function properly and may be disabled.

   Ensure the transmission oil is warmed to more than 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit) before attempting calibration.

   Verify that the Standard Instrumentation (INST) and Armrest (ARM) controllers are fully calibrated, as the transmission controller relies on these modules.

   Inspect the front suspension position sensor (potentiometer), its wiring harness, and the mechanical linkage connecting it to the axle for damage, disconnection, or bent components.

   Ensure that no persons are in front of or in back of the tractor, as the chassis will physically raise and lower during the procedure.

   Ensure transmission fluid is at operating temperature.

   Start the engine.

   Push and hold the PROG key.

   Within the first ten seconds after starting the tractor, push and hold the PROG key on the instrument cluster for two seconds until a short beep sounds.

   Navigate to suspension options.

   Use the DECR (decrease) key to navigate the menu until you find the suspension options (you may need to exit "Fsus Demo" if it appears).

   Select TRANS FSUS.

   Press the PROG key to select TRANS FSUS (Transmission Front Suspension).

   Initiate automated calibration.

   Follow the on-screen prompts to initiate the automated calibration. The tractor will command the suspension to travel to its maximum upper and lower limits to learn the sensor voltage range.

   Save and exit.

   Once the display indicates the calibration is successful, save and exit the menu. The fault code will clear.
