New Holland TRANS 2024 – Transmission Control Unit (TCU): None of the Transmission clutches are calibrated

This fault code indicates that none of the Transmission clutches are calibrated. It is the standard default condition when a new transmission controller is installed on the tractor, or if the existing controller's memory has been wiped or corrupted.

   Verify if the Transmission Controller was recently replaced, updated, or if the tractor experienced a severe voltage drop that may have cleared the TCU's memory.

   Check for other active fault codes related to clutch solenoids, speed sensors, or pedal switches (such as TRANS 2037 or TRANS 2047), as these will prevent a successful calibration.

   Warm up the transmission oil to operating temperature (typically around 176°F / 80°C) before calibration to prevent the tractor from rejecting the calibration with a 'U' error code (e.g., U19 for Oil Too Cold).

   Preparation

   Park the tractor on level ground away from obstacles. Apply the handbrake firmly.

   Enter Calibration Mode

   With the tractor off, press and hold both the upshift and downshift buttons simultaneously while starting the engine.

   Verify Temperature

   Upon entering calibration mode, the dash display will show the transmission oil temperature. If it is within the acceptable range, proceed.

   Set Engine Speed

   Increase the engine RPM to approximately 1200 +/- 50 RPM.

   Engage Shuttle

   Place the shuttle lever into the Forward (or Reverse, depending on the specific model's manual) position.

   Calibrate Clutch A

   Press the upshift button to select the first clutch pack (Clutch A). Press and hold the downshift button to begin calibrating. Keep the button depressed; you will feel the tractor load up and the engine speed will decrease by about 50 RPM. Hold it until the calibration number on the dash alternates with the clutch identifying letter.

   Calibrate Remaining Clutches

   Release the downshift button. Press the upshift button to select the next clutch (Clutch B), and repeat the hold-downshift process. Continue this sequence for all remaining clutches (C, D, E, and F).

   Save and Exit

   Once all clutches are successfully calibrated (the display may show 'CF' indicating completion), turn the key switch to the OFF position. This saves the new calibration figures into the transmission controller's memory.
