Check the cause
Check for Accompanying Codes: Look for other offline codes (e.g., 2817, 2818, or 2819). If present, the issue is likely a main CAN bus failure or a shared power/ground loss rather than a failed ICP.
Inspect the Armrest Harness: Inspect the wiring harness routing into the adjustable armrest for chafing, pinched wires, or disconnected plugs beneath the armrest.
Test Power and Ground: Disconnect the ICP and use a multimeter to verify that the panel is receiving proper voltage and has a solid ground connection.
Check CAN Bus Integrity: Test the CAN High and CAN Low pins at the ICP connector for proper voltage and verify the CAN bus terminating resistors are intact.
Inspect Connectors: Check the ICP electrical connector for pushed-out pins, corrosion, or moisture.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts or spikes during module replacement.
Access the Panel
Remove the retaining screws and plastic trim pieces on the armrest (e.g., SideWinder II console) to access the underside of the Integrated Control Panel.
Remove the ICP
Carefully unplug the main electrical harness connector from the ICP. Remove the mounting hardware securing the panel to the armrest and lift the old unit out.
Install the New Part
Seat the new Integrated Control Panel into the armrest and secure it with the mounting hardware.
Reconnect
Plug the electrical harness into the new ICP, ensuring the connector locks firmly into place. Reinstall all armrest trim panels.
Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery. Turn the key on and use the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) or the tractor's onboard diagnostic menu to clear the TRANS 2814 fault code.
Test
Verify that all buttons on the ICP illuminate and function correctly, and ensure the transmission engages without throwing the code.
