   Inspect the wheel speed sensor wiring harness and connector for chafing, bare wires, or corrosion that could cause a short to power.

   Check the sensor on the transmission/differential housing to ensure it is securely mounted. Remove the sensor and check the magnetic tip for a buildup of metallic shavings.

   Using a multimeter, verify that the sensor is receiving the correct reference voltage from the Transmission ECU and that the ground circuit is intact.

   Check for continuity between the sensor connector and the TRANS controller pins.

   Park the tractor on a level surface, engage the parking brake, turn off the engine, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
