Communication failure on the CAN bus. The control module is expecting a configuration response or parameter validation from another module (often the Instrument Cluster), but the response is not received within the programmed time limit.

   Verify the physical CAN network connections between the UCM and the Instrument Cluster (IC)

   Inspect the wiring harness for an open circuit, short circuit to ground, or short circuit to power that could interrupt CAN communication

   Ensure the UCM is receiving proper voltage by checking the power supply, UCM power relay, and fuses

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the machine and use the battery quick-disconnect switch (if equipped) to disconnect the negative battery cable before servicing the electrical system.

   Inspect the Fuse Box

   Locate the double fuse box and check the WIC UCM Power circuit (typically a 35A relay/fuse).

   Test the UCM Power Relay

   Test or swap the 12V 35A micro relay responsible for powering the UCM. If the relay is burnt out or sticking, the UCM will not communicate on the CAN bus.

   Harness Repair

   If the relay is functional, trace the CAN wiring from the UCM to the Instrument Cluster. Repair any chafed wires, clean corroded connector pins, and ensure all plugs are seated firmly.

   Module Replacement

   If the wiring, fuses, and relays are all intact, the UCM itself may have suffered an internal core monitoring fault or EEPROM failure and will need to be replaced and reprogrammed.
