The actual angle reported by the left swash plate sensor does not match the angle commanded by the controller. Because this is an illogical state that could result in unintended machine movement, the system typically shuts down the drive for safety.

   Inspect the hydraulic fluid for water contamination (milky appearance) or extreme cold viscosity, which can cause sluggish mechanical response in the pump.

   Check the wiring harness and connectors between the UCM and the Left Swash Plate Angle Sensor for damaged wires, corrosion, or loose pins (specifically monitor Pins A and B).

   Verify that the left drive joystick is functioning correctly.

   Ensure the proportional solenoids on the left side of the hydrostatic pump are receiving voltage and operating smoothly without mechanical binding.

   Prepare machine

   Park the machine on a level surface, lower any attachments, and engage the parking brake. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

   Locate pump

   Access the engine compartment and locate the tandem hydrostatic drive pump (typically a Bosch Rexroth A22VG unit).

   Identify sensor

   Identify the Left Swash Plate Angle Sensor, which is mounted on the side of the pump housing at the swash plate pivot.

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the sensor.

   Remove mounting screws

   Remove the mounting screws securing the sensor to the pump housing.

   Remove the faulty sensor.

   Restore battery power, clear the stored fault codes in the UCM, and test drive the machine to verify that the left drive operates smoothly and the code does not return.
