New Holland UCM 5132 – UCM: Bucket Rollback / Dump: Pin A Short to Power
Issue description
The control module has sensed that the Right Joystick Right-Left signal has failed. The fault becomes active when the voltage on connector X-CN4A, pin 24 is greater than 4.8 V.

Check the cause
Probe UCM connector X-CN4A at pin 24 to verify if voltage is reading above 4.8 V, indicating an active short to power.
Inspect the signal wire between the right joystick and the UCM for a short circuit to another power source.
Check wiring harness connectors and the fuse panel for corrosion or burnt pins.
Isolate the joystick to determine if the short is in the machine's wiring harness or internal to the joystick sensor.
Repair steps
Power down the machine and disconnect the battery
Perform this step if you are repairing a wiring harness short.
Repair or replace the damaged wiring section
Do this if a short to power is found in the chassis harness.
Remove and replace the Right Joystick assembly
Do this if the diagnostic checks point to an internal failure of the joystick sensor.
Calibrate the joystick
After replacing the joystick, you must calibrate it using the Electronic Service Tool (EST).
Perform the calibration procedure
Ensure the following prerequisite conditions are met: Joysticks must be in Neutral, Key ON, Engine ON, Hydraulics OFF, Operator Present in the seat, and there must be no active joystick-related fault codes. Open the 'Calibration' menu in the EST and follow the prompts.
Parts you might need
(2)Right Joystick Base / Hand Control Assembly
47778097This is the primary electronic joystick base assembly. It directly replaces earlier superseded part numbers 84249066, 47548974, and 47416528.
Right Hand Joystick Grip
47857873If only the right-hand grip (which houses the auxiliary buttons/rollers) is needed rather than the entire base assembly.
