Genuine Castolin EutecTrode 4257 rutile-basic coated welding electrode, specifically designed for joining and surfacing cast iron with lamellar graphite (GG), spheroidal graphite (GGG), and malleable cast iron (GTS, GTW). It is also suitable for welding cast iron to steel and for repairing cracks, blowholes, and porosity, particularly on thin-walled and complex cast iron components. This electrode offers excellent welding characteristics in all positions except vertical down, producing smooth, finely rippled seams with good slag removal. The deposited weld metal is machinable.
