This chain connecting link joins the draw chain that drives the header’s intake mechanism. It transmits tensile load from the drive sprocket to the chain segments that pull crop material into the feeder housing. A worn or stretched link causes chain slack, which leads to uneven feeding and can allow the chain to jump teeth on the sprocket. Manufactured to Claas specifications, the link matches the original chain’s pitch and roller profile so that it seats correctly on the sprocket without requiring adjustment of the chain tensioner.
