A worn or collapsed bushing allows radial play that produces knocking noises and misalignment of the threshing components, accelerating wear on the shaft and housing bore. As an original part from the manufacturer, the bushing is molded to the same rubber durometer and metal sleeve dimensions as the original assembly, so it restores the factory clearance without requiring shimming. On installation, ensure the bore is clean and free of burrs; press the bushing in squarely to avoid distorting the rubber layer.
