This left-side strip mounts on the feeder house floor and guides the crop mat as it enters the threshing mechanism. It forms the lateral boundary of the feed channel, preventing material from spilling sideways before it reaches the cylinder. Wear on the strip reduces crop-conveying efficiency and can allow foreign material to bypass the feed rolls. The original part matches the mounting-hole pattern and thickness of the factory assembly, so no drilling or shimming is required during replacement.
