This bearing-with-housing assembly supports the pickup drum shaft on the front of the combine header. It carries the radial and axial loads transmitted from the drum as it rotates, maintaining alignment with the belt-driven pulley that drives the drum. A worn bearing produces a rumbling vibration that can misalign the drum and cause uneven crop feeding into the auger. The housing matches the original mounting-bolt pattern and seal bore, so no adapter plate or shimming is required for replacement. On installation, clean the mating face and torque the mounting bolts to the specification for the host machine.
