This differential shaft transmits torque from the gearbox output to the differential assembly inside the parent forage harvester. It is the rotating link that drives the axle set, converting gearbox rotation into wheel motion. A worn or bent shaft causes driveline vibration and uneven power delivery to the wheels. The shaft is machined to match the original spline and bearing-seat geometry, so no shimming or adapter sleeves are required during installation. On reinstall, verify that the shaft rotates freely in the housing before securing the retaining hardware.
