This left-side knife is the cutting element for the disc mower's cutting disc. It is mounted on the disc carrier and shears crop material against a stationary counter-knife. The knife is secured through a hole that aligns with the mounting stud on the disc. A worn or dull knife increases cutting resistance, leading to ragged stubble and higher fuel consumption. The matching right-side knife is available as a separate component. On installation, ensure the knife is fully seated on the disc and the retaining nut is torqued to the specified value.
