This clutch disc transmits torque from the engine flywheel to the transmission input shaft. It sits between the flywheel and the pressure plate assembly; when engaged, the friction facings clamp against the flywheel and pressure plate surfaces to drive the driveline. The disc hub carries internal splines that mate with the transmission input shaft, and the disc body includes multiple holes that match the pressure plate mounting pattern. A worn or glazed friction facing causes clutch slip under load, reducing power delivery to the wheels. The original disc is machined to the same spline profile and facing thickness as the factory assembly, so no shimming or hub modification is needed during replacement. On reinstall, ensure the disc is centered with a pilot tool before tightening the pressure plate bolts to the specified torque.
