This shaft seal is a replacement component for the front axle assembly of the host tractor. It prevents lubricant leakage from the axle housing and blocks contaminants from entering the bearing cavity. The seal is manufactured by Corteco to match the original seal's geometry, ensuring it seats correctly in the housing bore and maintains the proper interference fit with the rotating shaft. A worn or hardened seal will allow oil to weep past the lip, leading to a gradual loss of axle lubricant and potential bearing damage.
