Product Description

This axle seal ring fits into the housing where the axle shaft exits the differential or final-drive assembly. It retains lubricating oil inside the housing and prevents dirt, water, and debris from entering the bearing cavity. The seal rides on the rotating shaft surface; a worn or hardened lip allows oil leakage and contaminant ingress, which accelerates bearing and gear wear. Corteco manufactures this seal to match the original housing bore and shaft contact zone, so the lip sits at the correct interference and angle without additional shimming. On installation, inspect the shaft surface for grooves or corrosion and lubricate the seal lip before pressing it into the housing.
