This metal-rubber bushing isolates vibration between the cleaning-system linkage and the frame of the parent combine. It fits into the pivot point where the cleaning-shoe hanger connects to the side sheet, allowing controlled oscillation while damping high-frequency chatter from the sieve drive. A worn bushing produces excessive play at the pivot, which leads to uneven sieve movement and reduced cleaning efficiency. The rubber element is bonded to the inner and outer metal sleeves during manufacture; separation of the bond causes a metallic clunk during operation. On replacement, ensure the bushing is pressed fully into the bore so the inner sleeve aligns with the bolt hole without side load.
