The seal is manufactured by Corteco to match the original housing bore and shaft dimensions, ensuring the sealing lip contacts the shaft at the correct interference and angle. On installation, inspect the shaft surface for grooves or pitting; a damaged shaft will compromise the new seal. Lubricate the seal lip before fitting and press the seal squarely into the bore to avoid distorting the casing.
