This oil seal sits in the front axle housing of the host tractor, retaining lubricant and excluding contaminants at the shaft exit point. It is a dual-lip simering ring with a stepped cross-section that matches the original seal groove geometry. A worn seal allows axle lubricant to weep past the lip, which leads to reduced gear and bearing life. The seal is manufactured by Corteco to the same dimensional and material specifications as the original component, so no shimming or housing modification is needed during replacement. On installation, ensure the sealing lip is oriented toward the lubricant reservoir and that the housing bore is clean and free of burrs.
