Product Description

This seal fits the front axle housing of the host machine. It retains lubricating oil inside the axle assembly and prevents contaminants from entering the bearing cavity. The seal rides on the rotating shaft surface; a worn or hardened lip allows oil to weep past the contact face, leading to bearing starvation and eventual axle failure. The manufacturer machines the sealing lip to match the original housing bore tolerance, so no adapter or shim is required during installation.
