A worn or carbon-clogged tip causes incomplete atomization, leading to white smoke, rough idle, and reduced power. This component is manufactured to the original needle-lift tolerance and spray-hole dimensions, ensuring the spray pattern matches the combustion bowl geometry of the host engine. On replacement, clean the injector bore and torque the retaining nut to the specified value.
