EL-LIQ 73 MEDIUM-STRENGTH SURFACE SEALANT It is a medium-strength, label-free, anaerobic sealant. It is preferably used for friction-locked connections of metallic components, such as valve covers, control housings, camshaft carriers, various housing and bearing covers, as well as flange connections in engine, gearbox, and aggregate construction. It replaces all types of flange gaskets. Under exclusion of air and metallic contact with the connecting components, a media- and temperature-resistant sealing film forms and cures. Resistant to mineral oils (also with additives), synthetic oils, lubricants, fuels, organic solvents, and coolant additives, cold and hot water. • Handling strength: 10 – 20 min • Functional strength: 3 – 6 h • Final strength: 12 – 24 h • Maximum gap filling capacity: 0,35 mm • Maximum thread diameter: M80 • Temperature range: –55 °C to +180 °C • Optimal storage conditions: cool (+5 °C to +23 °C), dry, and dark
