This V-belt transmits power from the drive pulley to the driven pulley in the belt drive system of a forage harvester. It is a single-rib belt, which engages with matching pulley grooves to transfer torque without slippage under normal load. A worn or stretched belt will cause a loss of drive speed, leading to reduced throughput or inconsistent chopping. The belt is manufactured by Gates, whose profile dimensions match the original pulley groove geometry, ensuring correct tension and contact area. When replacing, check the tensioner and align the pulleys before tensioning to specification.
