This housing with coulter assembly mounts to the seed drill frame and guides the seed from the metering unit into the seed furrow. The coulter opens the soil ahead of the seed tube, and the housing supports the coulter arm and maintains its alignment relative to the furrow opener. A worn coulter or damaged housing causes inconsistent seed depth and poor soil coverage. The assembly is manufactured by Granit to match the original geometry, so the coulter angle and mounting bolt pattern align without modification.
