The Worm Gear SG040 is a compact drive with a cast aluminum housing, a case-hardened worm gear shaft, and a bronze worm gear. It has an electric motor flange adapter on the drive side and a hollow shaft on the output side, and is compatible with a size 63 electric motor with a B5 flange. It uses synthetic oil for lifetime lubrication, has gear ratios from 7.5 to 100, and is used for conveyor belts, lifting and rotary tables, and reel drives for hoses. A torque arm should be used as an anti-twist device. The dynamic efficiency is 0.89 at 1400 rpm, and the static efficiency is 0.79 at the same speed.
