This set of brake pads is a direct replacement for the original friction material in the service-brake calipers of the host tractor. The pads sit inside the caliper housing and clamp against the brake disc when hydraulic pressure is applied, converting kinetic energy into heat to slow or stop the machine. Worn pads reduce clamping force, increase stopping distance, and can score the disc face if the backing plate contacts the rotor. The friction compound is bonded to the steel backing plate; the assembly is machined to match the original caliper pocket dimensions so that no shimming or modification is required during installation. On reinstall, ensure the caliper slides are clean and lubricated, and torque the caliper mounting bolts to the manufacturer’s specification.
