This clutch disc transmits torque from the engine flywheel to the gearbox input shaft. It sits between the pressure plate and the flywheel, engaging and disengaging the drive train when the operator actuates the clutch pedal. The disc features multiple slots that help manage heat and maintain engagement stability under load. A worn or glazed disc causes slipping under load, difficulty engaging gears, and chatter during takeoff. The manufacturer machines this disc to match the original assembly's spline geometry and friction-face profile, so no shimming or adapter is needed during installation. On reinstall, ensure the flywheel and pressure-plate faces are clean and free of oil.
