Product Description

This wedge key transmits torque between the cutterhead shaft and the driven component mounted on it. It sits in the keyway machined into the shaft and the mating hub of the header drive assembly. A worn or sheared key allows the hub to slip on the shaft, causing intermittent drive loss and vibration. The key is machined to match the original keyway dimensions so that no filing or shimming is required during installation.
