This ball bearing supports the engine cooling fan shaft on the parent combine. It is a double-row, sealed bearing that handles both radial and axial loads from the fan belt and the fan itself. A failing bearing produces a growling noise from the cooling stack and can allow the fan to wobble, reducing airflow through the radiator. The bearing is sealed on both sides to retain grease and exclude dust, so no field lubrication is required. When replacing, press the bearing onto the shaft and into the housing bore squarely to avoid damaging the seals.
