This feeder-house strip mounts along the bottom of the inclined conveyor assembly in a combine harvester. It acts as a wear surface that seals the gap between the conveyor chain slats and the feeder-house floor, preventing crop material from falling back into the housing. Over time, the strip wears thin from continuous contact with the moving chain and abrasive crop residue; a worn strip allows material loss and reduces feeding efficiency. The strip is drilled to match the mounting holes on the feeder-house floor. On replacement, use the original fasteners and ensure the strip lies flat against the floor before tightening.
