This metal-rubber bushing isolates vibration between the cleaning-system frame and the mounting bracket on a self-propelled forage harvester. It sits at the pivot point where the cleaning-shoe assembly attaches to the chassis, allowing controlled oscillation while damping high-frequency vibration from the threshing drum. A worn bushing allows metal-to-metal contact, which produces rattling noise and accelerates wear on the bracket bore. The bonded rubber element is pressed into the steel outer sleeve during manufacture; on replacement, the bushing must be pressed into the bore without lubrication to prevent the rubber from rotating inside the sleeve.
