This cutterbar beam, 7.5 meters long, forms the main structural member of the grain harvester header. It supports the knife drive and guards along its full length, transferring cutting forces from the reciprocating knife back into the header frame. A bent or cracked beam causes uneven knife registration, leading to missed crop and increased shatter loss. The beam is manufactured to match the original mounting geometry so that the knife sections align correctly with the guards across the entire width. When replacing, transfer all knife clips and hold-downs from the old beam and torque the mounting bolts to the specification for the header.
